I'm considering adding an urchin to my 90 gallon tank, but was curious to know whether they can easily travel across sand. I was under the impression that they are only found naturally on rock, so didn't know whether they might get stuck in fine substrate. Specifically I'm looking at either Diadema or Mespilia. Since my rockwork doesn't touch the glass anywhere and my sandbed completely surrounds the rock, will it be confined to the rock or glass depending on where I initially put it, or go wherever it pleases.
