Starfish Questions

So I've got the time and Im watching my chocolate chip starfish be in full view and easily caught.

But how do you catch them, do you try to slip a net underhim, or do you just pick it up with your hands? Are they gooey, slimy, hard, do they bite, do their suckers hurt you any?

I have the time to take him down to the LFS today, so while he's out in plain sight it would be easiest.

u usually just pick them up with my hands by slightly pinching one of the legs. Be carefull when taking them off the glass.
