I got these polyps the other day. I'm not exactly sure what type they are. They're a pure white color but sometimes if the light hits them right I see a slight green to the tips of them.

My questions are:

What type of polyp are they?
What type of flow/lighting should I give them.

They look like bleached (or albino??) paly's. Here's a pic of some from my tank which Ive had for about 7 years. Mine are growing in several areas of my tank and don't seem to need intense light. They've done well with moderate light and current. I wonder if the ones you have were over illuminated, causing bleaching?

That's possible. Right now I have them in a spot that gets a good amount of light and as you can see from the picture they haven't opened all the way up. They're actually more closed right now than usual because I was moving them around trying to find a better place for them. So maybe I should try to find them more shade.

Do they need to be fed at all?

Ive fed mine on occaision. However, I moved about 3 years ago, my tank crashed and these guys survived in my tank which was in my garage in PA (hot summers, cold winters) with only top off water being added for over two years! They even propagated. Id say you don't need to feed them, but it doesn't hurt. I give small pieces of diced seafood and they'll grab it and close up on it. Since they are possibly bleached, it sure wouldn't hurt. They will grsp at almost anything IME.
