I just moved all of the contents from my daughters 10 gal nano into my newly cycled 90 gal reef. Specs are:

90 gallon show tank with center overflow
35 gallon sump/fug w/homemade baffles
Euroreef CS6-2
Velocity T-3 for return to main display
Ampmaster 2100 on closed loop
MRC CR-2 calcium reactor in transit, should be in next week
100# mixed Marshall Island and Kaelini LR, needs more
150# aragonite sand
PCI CL-650 chiller
2 x 250W Coralvue 10K MH on Icecap electronic ballast
2 X 110W Actinic VHO on Icecap electronic ballast

corals seem to be having a hard time acclimating, I'm just keeping a close eye on them. My 10 gal nano had a 96W powerquad over it and I think I'm going to put it over the fug. I still need to clean it up a bit on the back glass.

My wife picked out the color scheme and painted the stand to match the living room. It's not traditional, but it goes well with our house. The crackle is supposed to give it that aged look. I ended up building the stand hood from scratch in order to save some money. I need to tidy up the wiring, but for the most part I'm done messing with it

Wife and kids are loving it and that's the most important thing.

Pics are too large to put in the thread, so here are a few links to some pics

My wife picked out the color scheme and painted the stand to match the living room. It's not traditional, but it goes well with our house. Very cool. She's to be congratulated... an original thinker. I love the braided nylon rope... nice touch. With out-of-the-ordinary thinking, you're certain to have a real knock-out aquarium in a year or two (when it matures and grows in).

Have fun!

I agree. More importantly than how it looks (great) is the fact that your wife is involved.

JNG567 - My wife used a clear crackle coat. You can find the stuff at Home Depot. After you apply the base you paint on the clear crackle coat. Then you apply the top color and as it dries it will give that appearance.

Thanks for the comments Thunnus and elwaine
