well thats pretty much the ? you probably want parameters so here they are as of yesterday p.h. 8.2, nitrite 0, amonia 0, nitrate 0, salinity 35ppt, calcium 450ppm, alkalinity 9.8, I'm not sure but to maintain that calcium level I have to get that up to atleast 12dkh right? By the way 2 days ago I bumped the calcium up from 420ppm and alk was 8.4dkh and I use baking soda as a buffer and used enough that it should of hit high 12dkh. Do I need to start testing for magnesium?

No. I usually recommend alkalinity be maintained at 7-11 dKH, so there's no need at the moment to push it higher.
