I am looking to build a sump for my 90 gallon tank. I am on a limited budget ( what else is new ) and was hoping to pick up a used pump and possibly a used aquarium to use to build it.

I am not sure what size pump I will need, but it is a 90 gallon tank and it will have to pump approx. 4' to return to the top of the tank *maybe 3 but its about 4' tall from top of tank to bottom of stand* .

Does anyone have one they can part with? This sump project seems a bit more expensive than I had anticipated. I hoped to save some money by using my 20 gallon tank but my other one broke and I needed somewhere to keep my only freshwater fish .

Thanks in advance!

Dave

I have a 29 gallon tank I an mot using and could part with, if that is large enough for your needs.

Steve: that sounds great, one question though. I have about 22" from the bottom of the stand ( the "floor" inside the doors ) to the top lip for clearance.

Will it fit?

Thanks Steve!!

Dave

btw -- here is a pic in case my description is lacking

There is about an inch between the "floor" in my stand and the bottom "lip" of the opening for the doors. So it is 22" deep, but I only have 21" of clearance.

I brought your tank tonight, but I didn't see you there.

Do you want to try and meet somewhere? I didn't see you at the frag swap either. I am in the Monroeville area for work every Wednesday.
