before i buy anything like i said before i am asking you guys fisrts, what do they eat and are they hard to keep.

I have had them before, they seem to dart off to where you cant see them. I had mine for maybe 3-4 mos. Ive heard they dont live long in captivity. Id be curious if someone could comment on that.

i think it has to do with water temperatures where they come from cold climates and not tropical climate. But I've not had any problems with mine.

They are filter feeders that starve to death in most aquaria. Unless you feed a lot of phyto and the like they'll die.

I had a flame scallop that was sold to me as "easy to keep". It starved to death over a period of months. Some people are lucky with them, though.

Never owned one myself but a LFS owner (a good one) does not recommend them for the same reasons stated above - they wont live but a few months, at best, in most tanks.
