Sure, it will work, but it goes inside your tank. As such, it is kind of big and ugly. Plus, once you buy it and a powerful airpump to run it, you could probably buy a better performing hang-on unit for the same money. A Prizm would be fine on a ten gallon tank.

I am currently using a airlift 60 in a 29 gal. It takes up a lot of room. I don't think that you would have any room for the live stock.

Here is a pic. youcan see it in the right corner

I'm having trouble finding the exact dimensions of the air-lift skimmers. In particular, the maximum diameter of the submerged part... It looks like about 4 inches... but...

I'm actually looking for the 90g model, but this could rule it out...

Thanks,
Pat

Hello Pat,

I would really sugggest that you consider another skimmer. The airlifts work ok but there are much much better ones out there. I get maybe a 1/4 cup of light green stuff in the cup per week. When I set up the 29 gal tank in the picture above I really didn't know much about salt water tanks.
On the 75 gal that I am setting up I am using an Euro Reef CS 6-1 and what a difference.
If I were you, I would look at the Aqua C Remonas. I've seen alot of good feed back on these.

I use an airlift 60 on a 20 gallon on a powerful pump. I got the skimmer free, and it works OK.

Unless you can get a heck of a good deal on it, you have a powerful pump, and don't mind the internal skimmmer, probably could find a better solution.

My problem is that I set up the tank too close to the wall for a HOB skimmer. I wonder if it would be possible to run one of these partially submerged in the sump?

thanks,
Pat

Here is the link to Aqua C www.proteinskimmer.com. It's the The AquaC Urchin that are in sump.

Pat, not sure about the partially submerged part, but a coworker runs one of these skimmers in his 18" AquaFuge hanging on the back of a 36 bow.
