I bought some minced garlic in a jar and have been adding the juice to my frozen food. My LFS remarked that the store bought garlic has oil in it, and could cause an oil slik on the top of the tank. Anybody run into this? They also mentioned that vitamin C should be added to the mix. Is this true? Do you have to use (fish) vitamin C? Is there a cheaper alternative to this if it is true? While we are on the subject, is vinager a good sub. for Joe's Juice? Any other household items that can be utilized?

Lots of people use garlic juice. As for the Vitamin C, I have never herd of that.

You can also buy liquid garlic if you want by McCormick(I am sure you can use other brands, I just know of this one).

Also note using the minced some fish will eat the chunks of garlic, I know a guy on here who says his tang will eat it.
