View Full Version : An easy way to measure GPH through the sump

If you have an overflow that has (or can have attached to) a rectangular spill area (not a pipe or teeth), you can easily measure the flow through the overflow (and thus through the sump) using the "WEIR MEASUREMENT TABLE" shown here:

The depth to use is how far below the tank water the edge of the overflow spill-way is. Look-up the depth in the table and multiply by the width of the overflow.
