Almost all browsers (MSIE, Netscape, Mosaic, etc.) will show pictures with the .JPG and .GIF extentions automatically without a special 'plugin' software. Make sure you have the lastest updates, this will help.

One of the most common problems you'll see is the small box with the red 'X' in it instead of a picture. This usually means that the pic is either:

missing (wasn't uploaded or not where you think it is)
misdirected URL or misspelled URL
server bandwidth exceeded
IMG tag wasn't used properly

Here is an example (keeping fingers crossed)

Properly spelled, directed URL, plenty of bandwidth and IMG tag:http://home.comcast.net/~coyoteseven/headbang.gif

Messed up URL: http://homecomcast.net/~coyoteseven/headbang.gif
Bad spelling: http://home.comcast.net/~coyoteseven/heedbang.gif
IMG tag missing: http://home.comcast.net/~coyoteseven/headbang.gif (gives a clickable link instead of showing pic)

Sorry... can't simulate exceeded bandwidth... I've got unlimited. :D

I can see the pics in the forums and the Tank of the month. I cannot see the pics in the Picture section. I can see the picture as a minature but when I double click on it to maximize it, I get a message saying "you must register" I am logged in when this happens. Hopefully someone else has had this problem and corrected it. I am running windows XP Home with the latest updates and all of my equipment for my computer are up to date. By the way, NICE TANK. Thanks,

Louis

Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the database to recognize you louherz. Give it another day or two and if you're still having the same problem, contact webmaster@reefcentral.com and let him know.

This is a freaky rock I had in my nano. It ended up in my main tank with some xenia on it. Kinda looked like it had hair then. :)

That's an example of a server that won't let you link to it. :D
