Hi Dr. Ron, I really enjoyed your talk at MACNA(could only make first workshop). Before I left for MACNA I was observing my refugium and I saw a creature that appeared to be a snake or eel in the rock rubble under my cauperla. I dont think he is a bristleworm because he had a white body with little black stripes. I have amphipods with this coloration but this had a long skinny body like a snake. He was about 1 inch long and I could not make out if there was a definite head or not. Do you have any ideas? I doubt it is a sea snake because I'm pretty sure they are never that small but that was the first thing I though of when I saw the banded coloration.

Thanks,
Andrew

It is a bristle worm. There are a lot of species and you described a fairly common color pattern.
