Hi Dr Ron,

Welcome back, we missed you!

My brother will analyze my aquarium water for free using Atomic Absorption Spectrometry, Ion Conductive Plasma, and Chromatography. Which one would be best? And which tests will be done for your research project?

Should I get him a six pack of imported beer, or something more extravagant?

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

For your brother to do your tests, use whatever he thinks is best.

For my project all of the tests have to be done together by the same lab, with the same techniques so the results are fully comparable.

Okay.

Funds permitting, I hope to participate in your research. I'm waiting to see the final cost:D

I plan to do home tests before sending samples to you and my brother. It will be interesting to compare the 3 sets of results.

Wouldn't it be nice if he could run say 20-30 samples? I don't think he could swing this though.:(

If it were to be done now I'm afraid the results might be embarassing. According to my tests, I'm having a bit of a Ca solubility problem due to high phosphate levels:(
