I'm curious to see/hear about the size of your A. glauca frag and how long you've had it.

I have a frag, Gary. I'm not sure when or how long I got it ?
It is alive and kicking, but sloooow growing so far. It incrusted the rock where I glued it, so I'm thinking it will take off soon.
I'll try to get a pic. later.

I think you are referring to the green scrolling Montipora I got from ByTor ?
Here's a macro of it:

Hi Gary. My frag of the frag you sent me has taken off. I am just waiting for the green to return.

Paul- It'll turn more green under less intense and/or higher kelvin lighting. 6500k will make it take off like a bat outta heck, but it will be colored more tan/pinkish. Here's a pic taken of an area of the table that's getting both 20kk, 6500k and VHO actinic lighting:

Hi Gary. I have had it under 20K 400W lights for about 3 weeks now and it is still battling to adapt to the increased light. The polyps have retracted however I see a slight tint of green returning. It is also growing furiously so my hope is that it will return to the beautiful coral that I received.

I started this thread for several reasons. This particular coral seems to be very tolerant of water conditions- provided it has good water flow and lighting. It's growth in my aquarium had slowed, though. Now it's started another growth spurt- most likely as the result of DSB/ortho-phosphate reduction in my system. It can match {or exceed} the growth rate of a "cap" when it really gets going.

Gary I've had a frag for several months now, growth is very slow, it is somewhat shaded now. It still is a stick, while others frags I have are now huge colonies up to 5" across

I suggest moving your table coral frag to a position of maximum light and water flow, Kent. This coral needs to be stabilized in an optimal position for a certain amount of time before it will take off. As far as table corals are concerned, I'd rate it 'very hardy'.

Thanks Gary for the info, I'm switching tanks soon, so I will make the neccesary appropriations.

Gary,
