1 Scarlett Cleaner Shrimp.
25 sm Various hermit crabs.
20 Astra snails

1 Blastomussa Merleti 1 1/2" around
1 colony Button Polyps.
Purple Violett Mushroom
Green Stripe Mushroom
Red Mushroom
Green Star Polyps

Lately when I look into my tank I am noticing more and more suspended particals in the water. I try small water changes but it doesn't make much difference. How can I clear the water up?

Thanks in advance!

I was researching the Whisper Diatomagic filter
and the System 1 Pressure Filter
both use diatomaceous earth and micron filters (pressure 1 as low as 1 micron)

Are these safe with reef tanks?
Are there any better alternatives to these?
Which would you suggest?

You may want to dump the Bio-wheel. Not very good for your setup. With the live rock and deep sand bed that is all the filtration you need besides the skimmer. I used to have one on my tank when I started and removed it because it was a nitrate factory.

Just my 2 cents.

I removed the biowheels before I ever put them on my tank. I heard the same thing. My brother incorporated an emperer 400 to his system and left the bio wheels on and he has subsiquently had an explosion of hair algae.
