I've seen others in the selling forum who have "Moved On'. Not a an everyday occurance, but not really spooky by any means. If someone breaks the rules, they are warned, if they fail to heed the warnings, then they are booted.
As discussed in the "Commercial Posts" threads, you can't have people posting commercial ads, this place would be spamland if that were allowed

I have to agree that the moderators do a great job of keeping the forums free of commercial posts, and that's no small feat. The spooky, or perhaps I should say amazing, thing is how FAST they are! How do they pull a commercial post, or one with particular nasty comments so damn fast? I mean, these guys hunt down illegal posts like Scuba_Dave hunts down FS posts! Maybe you've got Moderator potential Dave. ;)

Non-transparency is a morale killer in any organization (just ask anyone who has ever been a victim of a layoff (not I)).

If people are kicked off, their should be a reason posted, even if it is just a one-liner from a list reviewed by RC's legal team citing what section(s) of the user agreement were violated. That is just the right thing to do.

When i was first on here for a couple weeks, i posted something "inappropriate" (porn) in the lounge and i got an email for the warning.
And yeah, someone must've used the "report post to mod" feature, because after about an hour the post was gone! and the next day i check my mail, i got a message form the RC team.

There is a lot that goes on in the lounge. And when I've been in there quite a few of the mods "hang out" and post. So not that surprising that they found it. Nor any surprise that you were warned.
This is a Family site after all, plenty of other sites for that...I mean...so I have heard....
I started a thread once that was deleted, in the Selling forum 2-3 people were suddenly posting cars for sale.
So I started a thread " Is this the Used Care sales forum now?" or some such thing. My thread was deleted, as was one car thread. Another car thread stayed open, the owner wanted to trade it for reef equipment :)

Honestly though, there's nothing to do beside porn and forums(this one and the some other car forums) on the internet. Sure, you can check mail, news, weather, etc. but how long does that take?

My wife worked with a group of women last month who could manage to spend an entire day shopping for clothes on the internet. Cheaper than reefs, more socially acceptable than porn. I guess they've got us beat on two counts there.
