Two to three times a week is more than enough to feed a BTA. When mine are hungry they have long stringy tentacles, after feeding they have short stubby tentacles, that are more rounded.
They also move away from the light and hide right before they split.

I just fed mine piece of shrimp, he stuffed it in. Now it's like a swollen sac w/nubs, no tentacles
