Hello To All, I would like to become a member. What do I need to do? Second question for everyone about the dreaded FW. Do these FW just go on glass and rock, or do they go on the corals body as well? Would it be "OK" to take "un-mounted corals from a FW populated tank? Thanks...

Contact the Boston Running Club. hehehe.

If that doesn't work out, you're welcome to join the BRS- slightly less painful, the Boston Reefers Society!!!!

Log on to www.bostonreefers.org, you can sign up at any meeting other than this one coming up.

Unfortunately, many of the officers will be promoting MACNA this weekend in Orlando.

However, you're welcome to attend and learn and meet some really great people, -and me-although I'll be there on the later side.

Hi, and welcome (Scuba Dave, the animation, please...).

Check out this thread stuck to the top of this forum:

How to join the Boston Reefers' Society (http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=255437)

That'll give you all kinds of info.

By the way, what does FW stand for?
I'm used to FW = fresh water, but I doubt that's what you were saying. ;)

See you around,
Moe

I am speaking of flat worms. I am wondering if it is a bad thing to take even unmounted corals from a populated tank. Although I can do a flatworm exit dip before placing them into tank...Any thoughts...

To Boston Reefers Society & Reef Central!!!

Welcome, a little slow I was at lunch.

I pu a nice Toadstool from a FW infested tank (not carpeted - but very evident). We washed it off there, and then I did a Freshwater dip when I got home. And another rinse w/a powerhead/salt water.
Not good for all corals, but worked for toadstool

FW = flatworms in this case
