The first in a set of results of a written a poll of 25 of our BRS members conducted at a meeting in late 2003. Each person rated the top 3 stores in each category. Each 1 rating awarded a store 3 points, each 2 rating awarded a store 2 points, each 3 rating awarded a store 1 point. The final rating is the sum of these ratings. The ballots will be maintained in the BRS library until the next poll is conducted (in case of hanging chad investigations). For any LFS questioning/challenging the results I will make the entire set of results available.

Kind of depressing actually. A big metro area like Boston, and the best stores are halfway to Canada or Florida. :D

and I didn't really start posting until about 2-3 months after I joined RC. I was lurking for a while.

Some more info from Randy on Kalk Temp from another thread:

If the solution is heated (not drastically, but say to 95 degress) will this allow for more calcium hydroxide to dissolve into the water?

No, it will have the opposite effect. Calcium hydroxide dissolves more at lower temperature.

But Scuba should be well over 20,000 for the same time period.

We'll see. :D

I too registered long before I starting posting much.

In the past 6 months, Dave has posted to 1,874 threads (I can't count the posts that way).

In that same 6 months, I posted to 2,086 threads.

So we'll see where we are in 6 more months.

OK, it pays to have friends in high places. :D

One of the admins did a search for me, and found that in the time since 4/11/03 when Scuba_Dave started posting his 6,811 posts, I had 8,545 posts, though I guess that you'll have to trust me on that.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Greg. :D
