Does anyone use a plenum?

I am starting my 75g reef and have been building my plenum per www.garf.org specs. It calls for nylon screening but all I can find is fiberglass. Will this effect the water quality at all?

I bulit the same plenum. I found the nyoln sreen at Home Depot. It is used for sunscreen, just ask someone and the will point you in the right direction. Now that I have it finished I do not think I am going to use it after all the reading about plenums on reef central
