I have no idea how many people would be interested in this, but it is free shipping for orders of at least $175. I really want to get some SI True Perculas sometime soon. Would be nice if we got a couple people to get free shipping. Let me know if any of you are interested.

Why order when most of the LFS usually have true perculas? You can then actually pick the fish instead of just having one sent and hoping you like it.

well nowhere i checked has them so that is the reason why i put up this thread. to see if anyone was interested in pooling an order. some things are cheaper online or not available locally. so just trying to see if there are other people who want something that live aquaria has that they would like.

That is fine. I am just stating that a lot of places get them in. Just trying to save you some $$ in case you can't get the free shipping.

I actually just looked at an email I got from Aqua Addicts for 2/17 and they got a pair of True Percula Clowns in that week and 1 "odd pattern" true perc in as well. Give them a call, they may still have them. Not sure how far you are willing to travel. They are in NH.

Also try Tropic Isle in Framingham if you haven't already. They have a lot of fish. And Skiptons in Boston should be getting in a new shipment of fish on tomorrow(if I remember correctly).

I'm getting 2 SI True Perculas and perhaps a shrimp. I've never gotten corals from LiveAquaria but all their other stuff has been really good. Wouldn't be bad to try one out and see how it does in the tank. In a couple months I will have xenia frags I could give you because they are growing so fast. Ok so we have 4 people in on this? Get one, they are really hard to find locally and not sure how LFS acclimate them. I think acclimation is really important for them to survive. Some people recommends 2-4 hour drip acclimation and i am not sure if it is practical for LFS to do that longer acclimation. That's why it is better to get from online vendor.

i think we're going to have to get the shipment in during the week unless we pay a weekend shipping fee. we can work something out. usually the shipments arrive in the late afternoon around 4 or so. so picking them up during the evening wouldn't be bad either.

Since you haven't placed the order yet I think I'm gonna make one change. Instead of the red linckia star, I'm gonna get the orange star (CN-78842). After talking to a few fellow reefers, the orange stars seem to be a lot hardier. I've talked to a few people who said they don't know anyone that can keep one of the linckia stars alive. I guess it's not the star but how they are collected and handled. Hope this doesn't cause any problems. The price is the same.

Hey SMS76,
Those emerald crabs are awesome. I had a pretty significant bubble algae problem a few months ago. I bought 3 emerald crabs and they devoured the stuff in a few days.......never to be seen again. I have a 75 gallon tank and three crabs are probably more than enough, one could definitely handle a ton of bubble algae. Be careful handling them.......they're pretty strong. I reached in to move one and the sucker grabbed hold of my finger and man did it hurt. I have 3 sally lightfoot crabs too. They are excellent scavengers.

No, no damage to corals or clams. I have some acros, montiporas, frogspawn, brains, trupet, zoos, and a squamosa and crocea clam. The crabs leave all those alone. I think he got me becuase I was trying to pick him up to move him. I was changing some rock work around and I don't think he liked being moved. They are very strong. I have a few small (2") broken pieces of LR that once in a while they will just pick up with their claws and move. Amazing. Great aquarium crabs. Amazing bubble algae eaters. I would recommend them to anyone. I just underestimated their pinching strength and didn't pick it up carefully.

i called liveaquaria just to see what was shipped out and everything is on its way except for the 10 cerith snails that i believe mmcrae ordered. so they cancelled the cerith snails and did not charge for them. i will reimburse you for that.

i got the tracking number from them and went to check on the status at fedex.com and they said the estimated delivery time was friday (tomorrow) by 10:30 AM. i don't know what you guys think about this. i am going to be home all day tomorrow and you guys are welcome to come any time. even earlier if you wish. i don't think it'll be too big of a problem if they are bagged up until you guys pick up tomorrow night since last time i got mine around 4-5 and everything was ok. if all you guys could pm me your phone numbers, maybe i could give all of you a call when the package arrives. sorry for the long post.

Hey, my stuff's in the tank and everything looks awesome. I was careful acclimated the star and the shrimp (I used the drip method for ~3 hrs. Noob, you should have bought a star. It looks really healthy. As a matter of fact, everything looks really healthy. I have never bought any livestock online before and I was a little worried at first. I am very impressed. yeah i bought 2 true percs from the solomon islands. they are awesome! flawless color and pattern. arrived in very good condition and are swimming around together everywhere. they were looking at my bta but didn't go in. just have to wait a few days i guess. but i think everyone here who was a part of this group buy was very happy with their orders.
