I picked up a hamilton fixture at the last mtg, has Two 175 halides and two 110w vhos in it. I was upgrading from vho only. I started with this spaced with 2x4s about 6" off the tank rim for a week, Then 4" for a week, then 2" for a week.
Today i pulled out the last 2x4 and it is right on the tank rim. (75gallon)
Problem/question is that now i notice that there is not as much light on corals i have growing along/on the back wall of the tank. About 1/2 the back wall of my tank is covered in Green star polyps. They look to be almost in the dark now.
Not sure what to do... Raise the fixture back up??
