does anyone in canada (toronto's even better) know if we can get the "SouthDown or YardRIght Tropical Play Sand From The Carribean" famous substrate from Home depot or anywhere else here?

crushed coral is very costly...

A good place for Canadians to try is HERE (www.aquarimpros.ca)

And then do a search for "Bomix"

this site appears to have no actual products available...
(but they've clearly invested some $$ in a flashy intro)

umm, anyone seen this stuff at Home Depot here?

Or maybe a better question: should I really be using crushed coral instead?

I think they meant to do a search on the aquaiumpros.ca forum. Its a forum where most of the reefers are from the east coast. I'm sure they will gladly hook you up with some sort of cheap sand.

Cheers.

rmendis,
Thanks for the link, didn't realize the link I posted didn't work.
frankcow,
Home depot or any of the other big box stores do not carry southdown or bomix.
I've sent you a PM.
