I am hooking up an RO/DI unit directly to my main tank. I have a float valve that is set to turn a solinoide on and off when the level in the sump drops. The solinoide is to be located after the RO/DI.
The float valve is on a timer so it only goes on for 3 hours a day so I don't get rapid cycling of the RO/DI. But I need info on a good solinoide valve.
Any thoughts?
I was thinking of a water irrigation solinoide from Home Depot, it is 24 volts, any thoughts?

http://www.mcmaster.com/ Item #7877K53

Polypropylene Mini-Solinoid, 120v AC so all you have to do is wire the float(s) with power and it will go, I love mine. Cheap too.

Just curious, how much was shipping for the solinoid?

All together to send it to Muncie, IN(about 45 min northeast of Indianapolis) I think my total came to $20-22 so I thought it was a pretty good deal.

The only thing I have found kinda bad about these are they have 1/8" NFPT on the inside and its kinda a pain to find that size, I found one 1/4" barb to 1/8" NFPT that I have to use on either end, if anyone has some quick disconnects or something that will take RO line directly to this solinoid, a link to order it would be very appriciated, the local hardware stores, and Home Depot(45 min away) doesn't have any plastic quick fittings.
