I can't seem to find diy plans for a standard 29 gallon size metal halide canopy. Anybody able to help me out?

most of us don't make plans, just measure the tank and cut the wood accordingly. here's one i made for a 125:

That looks really nice. I don't have woodworking experience, let alone the tools required, so I would need the store (Home Depot or Lowes or whatever) to cut it for me. I seem to remember seeing plans somewhere before, but I can't for the life of me find them now.

That looks really nice, but it's a pc setup, and not tall enough for mh lighting.

Thanks electric.
Where did you get the wood? HD? How much does it cost?
Are those metal switches? Won't those rust?
How did you make it so it opens like it does? Did you first 'make a box' then cut all the way down the canopy to make it open? (I'm not making any sense, am I?).

whirley wood's from Lowes and costs about $45 for a 4 x 8 foot sheet. what switches are you talking about? and i built the front section, then the back section, and then connected them with a 70" long hinge.
