View Full Version : MH sockets on the ballast side...where?

Hey all,

I'm hoping someone here might point me in the right direction.

I need to find the plugs that mate with the plugs coming out of my mogul socket. In other words, the plug that would normally be coming out of the ballast.

Another, related question...

I have a Hamilton dual-400W MH ballast. It only has one cord coming out of it (well, plus the AC cord). The cord plugs into the fixture that I bought with it. I've bought a new tank and built a new canopy for it (http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=311276) and now I need to reconfigure the lighting.

I need to spit the single output of the dual ballast into two individual plugs so I can connect the lamps in each of the reflectors. I hope this is making sense to someone.

Is there some sort of adapter that will split this "dual plug" into two individual plugs? I can go in and rewire the dual ballast if I have to but I'd just assume keep things simple/clean if possible in case I want to sell the old fixture this dual ballast is designed to work with...
