I'm looking to set up a giant sump in my garage.

Do you have a prop / holding tank [not glass] that needs to move?

Thanks,

FP

Check out the livestock feed stores in your area. They usually have very large containers that might fit your needs.

rrod1021 - I searched the general Used Equipment and Drygood Selling but could not find the post. I'm looking for larger than 60 gallon.

sharkdude - that's a 300 gal! - I'm interested. Can you send me some more details on it?

ouinla - thanks for the info. They have used 55 and 30 gallon drums [used for juice concentrate] and horse drinking 'buckets' [look like a little garden pond], but I'll keep on looking.

Thanks

Try a rubbermaid stock tank or try a koi pond place. Laguna koi ponds has a wide selection of freestanding tubs that would work for a large sump. Nice thing about rubbermaid stock tanks is they come with a bulkhead and are very sturdy. available at most feed stores. Thesea.org uses them, I'll post the pic soon.

The vat I am refering to is commonly used in the lfs industry.
Its actually closer to 47 by 42 by 30 inside dimensions, made of very rugged plastic. Its commonly used in seafood business to truck fish in. The one I may have available is white with no holes.
I have a pic of another grey one that I used in my move. I'll post that soon too.

This grey vat has lots of bulkheads, etc.
The white one has no holes.

I still have a 65 gallon acrylic tank that would mane a great sump. It is 48" long.

I am trying to put together a deal on some of those RK2 bins at $150 ea, need 6 people and have maybe three. They are used and I have not seen them so have no idea what condition they are in. I don't personally care, bulkheads/ holes can be patched. they are from an lfs gone out of business. let me know if interested, mulcahy2@cox.net
