Marine grade varnish

Is this safe for a finish inside a diy canopy? Went to Lowes to buy Marine grade Urethane but had none in stock so I bought varnish intead. Any problems with using this?

I used varathane on mine and it is recommended on alot of sites...wet web media etc. and mine still looks like new and have no problem what so ever

also my buddy used regular marine grade varnish on his reef canopie and its been over 4 years with no problems
