I'm going to drill 4 or 5 holes in the back wall or my Tru Vu 55 gallon acrylic this weekend 2 for 1" bulkheads for the overflows and 3 for 3/4" threaded bulkheads. 2 for returns via a mag12 with 3/4 ball socket lines threaded in the tank. one in for a quick water change setup... Is there any specific distance I need to drill away from the sides or the top? I was planning on drilling the two 1" bulkhead holes in the center back top of the tank about 2-3" apart?? Is this too close? and then the two returns will be in each top corner about 2-3" from the top and sides? Does this sound ok or are those two 1" bulkheads holes going to be too close??? Also the inside overflow box I'm going to use(with outside of tank durso) is only 9" x4" x8" is this going to be a big enough prefilter box?? I figure I'll be pushing about 1000-1100gph through the return into the tank.. My goal is to have no powerheads.. Oh more information the sump is a 21 gallon acrylic with a 6gallon refugium..
