I like that one. Can you tell us more on its behavior, feeding, size and aggressiveness?

Cool looking fish. I remember seeing one on the liveaquaria.com site.

THAT is a beautiful fish, and one I've always had on my list but not yet encountered......from the Great Barrier reef area and a fairly close relative of the more common Marine Betta.

The few relatives I've ever owned (pseudoplesiops, etc.) are far less colorful and rarely, if ever, come out of the LR at night.

Congratulations on a really sweet animal!

Neat fish - imagine he cost a fortune.

Are you keeping it at reef temperatures? I could be mistaken but thought they were a borderline temperate fish in their native habitat.

It is a temperate fish, my tank generally stays at about 76 degrees. It is about 7" long to the tip of it's tail and protects it's cave like a devil. It comes out allot more than your standard marine betta and is allot more active when it comes to feeding. No problem going nose to nose with my lunula trigger and goldenback for a piece of prawn. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. When I first saw the fish I wouldn't had paid a dime for it, it was in a lfs and it fins were shredded by a niger trigger and the tail was almost non existent. After six months the fish was almost completely healed so I made the guy an offer a got a really good deal.
