Question about silicone...

So I have always thought as long as the silicone you get at home depot is 100% silicone, it can be used for aquariums... but I have people telling me that I cant use it and that it is toxic etc...

So here is the question.

If I go to Home Depot and get 100% silicone, can I use it in my sump/fuge?

GE Silicone II for Doors & Windows is fine. Do Not use GE Silicone II for Kitchen & Bath as it contains anti mildew ingredients.
