i got this red tube thing on my live rocks, got plenty of them.
each tube got a single white string in the water to catch stuff in the water. got some kind of coil at the base.

It sounds like a common small foraminiferan called Holotrema rubrum. See this article (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-07/rs/index.htm) for information about them and check out Figure 3.
