We just picked up a green galaxea the other day at our LFS. We can't find much info on these. Couple questions:

1. Where is the best place to put these in the tank?
2. I realize they can sting things. Is this everything or just other corals?
3. Will it sting our clown fish or starfish?
4. What type of current should we put it in?

We have Custom Sea Life Power Compact w/moon lights. 2 -65 watt daylights and 2 65- Actinc lights.

Thanks in advance.

Mine is low in the tank, almost on the bottom. Medium current. It has been there for a year and looks OK but it doesn't grow, it's just the same now as it was when I got it. Maybe more light or current would be better.

Do you have a picture of the coral?

We are trying to get a quick picture. Thanks for all the info. We really haven't had much luck finding any info on it.

Mine sprouted from a new rock a year ago and has been thriving. On the bottom, toward the front. Low current. lighting per my profile...

Here is the picture you were request. We have it in the middle of our tank but we were thinking of moving it onto the sand. What do you think?

VAReef,
Do you think ours would do good on the bottom of the tank with our CSL lights?

I have mine situated under 400W MH about 20 inches from the bulb (coral a foot down into the tank and bulb about 8-10 inches off the water).

Man does it grow like mad!
And sweeper tentacles! I am afraid to put another coral within a few inches of it.
