What type of paint for background?

Hello all,

I was wondering what type of paint is best for putting on a background, for your tank? Are you able to use regular spray paint?

Yep, just regular spray paint. I used Rustoleum on mine.

check out weatehrsons job on his in wall 240 its a peice of plexi glass that he painted and i believe also used an epoxy sealant.

I've always used flat black Rustoleum. Two coats applied with a very short nap roller. I've used spray paint as well, but the mess was a nightmare... :D

I rolled mine on with a foam roller.... just picked out the color.... in satin and put on 2 coats... looks terriblefrom the back but looks perfect when you look inside the tank from the front... Kevin.
