I recently used the last of the two nano discs from Florida Aqua Farms to start up a new culture. Seeing as it's probably a good idea to have more starter material on hand, can I use the 'new' DT's formula to start a new culture in the future?

What about the LiquidLife product? I see that their website mentions they'll be selling phytoplankton and zooplankton culture kits in the future.

Will either of these work, or do I need to order more discs from Florida Aqua Farms?

I've read here that DT's figured us out and that's why they changed the formula. So one of the species in there will compete with the other making it not a viable starter culture.

Not sure about liquidlife, the product as is, is a frozen dead culture. If they are going to sell live cultures in the future, that's not something I've heard of.

I'd go with FAF again.

That's kinda what I thought - thanks for the clarification.

No big deal though since I have to order more fertilizer from FAF for my phyto and macro projects :)
