Fishing Line.?????????/

I cannot send a picture but.... I have a leather coral that has a small threadlike white line coming off from it at times. It goes high into the tank and floats around. It has cilia. I know it is filter feeding. I talked with my source here and he was aware of this but couldn't give me more information. I am curious what it is. It is interesting to watch the line go in and out. Thanks.

I hear that some snails do that. burrow in the rock and throw out a line. I have a few worms that do that. One is living in a Capricorns coral. and another one lives in a brain.

Try a search for ctenophore or comb jelly.
