Coming from the skimmer on the right side of my sump. The return is on the left after four baffles.

i had the same problem. i ran the return form my skimmer (berlin)into a pithcer i found at the $1 store using 1 1/2" flexline. at the top of the pitcher i placed a sponge. the flexlines go trough the sponge almost to the bottom of the pitcher. the water is forced to the bottom and the bubbles are cought as they rise to the top. the whole setup sits at a tilt. i think it cost me $7 to set up.

try adding some LR to the sump. I got a bunch for free from a local guy, and i had no where to put the leftover pieces, so i put them in my sump. Low and behold, the microbubbles are now gone

If you have an existing sump with mulitple baffles and you still get microbubbles, something isn't configured correctly. Have you tried turning your skimmer's output away from the next zone, to give those bubbles more time to rise and pop?
