geez, isn't that thing confusing! i had mine for a year and finally dumped because it was just such a major pita. i was having the same problem you are in keeping the ca level up, and getting it to function correctly for any length of time was nearly impossible. to answer your question, i was using the outlet from the pump as the main drip tube, and the one coming from the reactor body for the '1-2 drop/minute' outlet. i tried everything to get a flow rate of 1-2 drops/minute and basically gave up. it certainly doesn't help that the directions are just as confusing as the reactor.

good luck

Well..............
Thanks for the input.
What kind did you replace it with?

i replaced it with a deltec 600s. totally blows away the korallin. i spend maybe 2 minutes/month on maintainence with it, and that's to clean the rio 50 ph i have running water into the CR body. it's a lot more expensive, but it's not even in the same universe as the korallin when it comes to performance and ease of use. my calc level is steady at 450, and i've been using the same CO2 cylinder for the past 6 months. sell your 1502 on ebay and get the deltec. if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
