ph in makeup water

hey all. i've got a ph of about 7.4 in the saltwater that i'm adding to my tank. i'm using an air water and ice ro/di unit i just picked up and coralife salt. is there a way to fix this or will i have to start adding buffer to the water? if i need to add something, what's the best thing to add?

If the alkalinity in the new salt water is adequate, then aerating it with fresh air (maybe from outside if your home has excess CO2) will bring up the pH.

I'm surprised it is that low, however. If it really is that low, limewater (or even washing soda) could also be used to raise the pH.

How are you measuring pH?
