What is the problems w/aiptasia?

I think I got some of the aiptasia anemones on a frag I bought, I was just wondering what was the problem with these guys and why are the considered pests? thanks in advance.

Wait a few months, you'll find out. They multiply fast, real fast Best to get rid of what you have now than wait.

Do a search and you'll find may suggestion on how to get rid of them.

When one showed up in my tank, I thought "cool". Then more showed up. And more. Pretty soon (maybe 2 months later) there were at least 30 and they were beginning to crowd out my polyps, etc. My sponge was about the only creature immune to their tentacles.

On the advice I received in another forum, I've just purchased some peppermint shrimp to deal with the problem. They are rumoured to be one of the few predators of aiptasia you can keep them in check with that won't attack anything else.
