Just wanted to see some pictures of your favorite LPS in your tank.

Plus this is a shameless excuse for me to show off pictures from my new camera that I am just starting to figure out:D

Anyhow this is my solid green candycane that I have had since
5-31-03

When I first got it there was right at 12 heads on it, now there is over 24 and most of them are splitting also.

Please post some pictures of your prized LPS ( I dont think they get enough attention sometimes )

here is my open brain, one of 3 LPS in my tank. the three LPS get more attention than the 20 SPS i have... and yes the brain dose have a blue color to it, its not the antinic bulbs.

I love my frogspawn. It's a bit picky about flow and lighting but when it is doing well it seems to be everyones favorite.

My fav is a colony of green torch, also have a nice stand of green/pink frogspawn. Having trouble posting pics, I reduce them to postage stamps and it still says "file too big". What am I doing wrong?

George, that is incredible, where on earth did you find that?

LPS are my favorites! I have 7 of them in my tank. Here are my favorite 2. The first is a Wellsophyllia Radiata. It measures about 8" fully expanded and it is under 10k...
http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/28576Wellsophyllia_Radiata_web.jpg

Here is the same Wellsophyllia Radiata under VHO actinics. Notice how the green really glows...

My other favorite LPS is a Orange Lobophyllia. It was totally bleached when I got it. I moved it near the bottom of my tank and it has since bounced back nicely...

geofloors and 64ivy- I love those Acanthastrea! What is the difference between that and a blastomussa? Acan. look more colorful, or have a more varity or colors than blastos do. Ware can you find them? Is their a site online that sells them?

DJBP- i love that lobo too! That looks great!

That tank looks fantastic! Kudos to you. Just looking at it is making me rethink my decision to dedicate my 90 gallon to SPS.

The main difference between blastomussa and acanthastrea is the feeder tentacles.

Here the acanthastrea has feeder tentacles that radiate out from around the mouth. Much like an open brain.

http://www.geofloors.com/coral//images/DSCN6333.JPG

Here the blastomussa has modified tentacles as part of the polyp. Much like a bubble coral.

http://www.geofloors.com/coral/images/DSCN6336.JPG

I have two different colors of acanthastrea which came from a fellow reefer.

Thank you, personaly I find sps coral boring and mostly to much easy for keep.I use them to fill places where I have strong flow or for encrusting glass panels ,and lately for suporting rocks with the lps corals.

Lexus, you got any maze brains? You may have seen I'm looking for frags or someone trying to unload one. I'm personally against buying corals taken off the reefs, but brains are pretty hard to propagate I'm learning.
