Well I think I figured out my problem as to why I was loosing inverts: A spike in my nitrates. Why I wanted a sump, bought a small wet/dry and left about 1/4 of the bio balls in it.

-Self inflicted rant on- If I would have kept a better eye on all #s (not just PH and Ammonia, which stayed stable) this would not of happened. -Self inflicted rant off-

I am doing daily water changes (past two days) and cleaning my substrate, in an attempt to bring down my ppm.

Anyhow, green algae is blooming and I am starting to loose coraline. If I continue the water changes, reduce nitrates can I reverse this process?

And, refering back to my subject, will a reduction in the amount of time I have my light on (usually 12hrs) reduce Green algae growth?

I have done some thorough searches and some questions have been answered, except for these.

Any answers/thought to better the situation would be appreciated.

As always, thanks for the input.
