Is this skimmer big enough for my 150 gal reef tank. I would say I have a med fish load and will be setting up a refugium in the next few months. I can fit the 30" model in my sump but would rather stick with the 24" if I can......

I think it's more than enough. I'm using one on my 180 and am very pleased.

euroreefs are good skimmer but what are you using now? Any alga problem? If the skimmer you are using is small if any, is doing the job? And if the euroreef is a big better skimmer than your current setup I don't see why it wouldn't be big enough. If you have caulerpa in the refugium it should make up the diff. Some ppl doen't even use skimmer with the caulerpa tanks. But I have a 24" skimmer it may not pull anything for days they all of a sudden its pulling stuff out. I have 2 refugiums hook to my tank with caulerpa.

Michael,
The only algae problem I have is on the glass, its more like a light dusting that has to be cleaned evey other day(no biggie) I use a Reef Devil 2 skimmer that works better now then ever since I removed a few of the bio balls.

I'm kind of waiting on the refugium since my system is so new. I'm getting some more HD sand tomorrow and will start the refugium plan soon. Its only going to be a 10-15 gal tank.....
