When Can I add live rock???

I just set up a new tank today, I am going to make it a reef. Is it true that I can add Live rock tomorrow. If so can I add any snails or hermit crabs?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

Yes..It is what will kick start your cycling process. Wait on the snails and hermits until your cycle is complete.

Yes, you can add LR tomorrow. Make sure you've got your temperature stable and salinity where you want it. As you may know, the LR can be used to cycle your tank -- and I think it is a better way of doing so than using live fish or a dead cocktail shrimp. Your cycle needs to be complete before you add any critters. It'll take anywhere from a few days to weeks.
