Convert film SLR to digital?

I think I remember seeing an article somewhere about adapting a film SLR to digital with a special module. Does anyone have any experience with this, or even know if this is available? I have an SLR with many lenses that I would love to be able to use digitally - even though I love my Canon S300 for it's small size, it doesn't focus manually and most of my reef shots are poor.

i think what you're referring to is a "digital back". however, i think they're only made for certain camera bodies- and my guess is most likely those bodies are professional level (like the nikon f5, canon 1n, medium format cameras like hasselblad and mamiya, etc.).
but if you type digital back into a search engine you should come up with some info.
