I have recently been having problems maintaining the pH of my tank... it sits around 8.0 and then drastically becomes more acidic within a few days... i have been adding 'reef builder' (basically some sodium bicarb if i remember correctly) to correct these dips in pH... and i know i have to mention this (and i'm pretty convinced it is my problem) which is that i don't really perform straight salt water changes on a regular basis at all....
