scrub the algae as best you can......do some water changes and cut back your lights to 6-7 hours
algae during the begining is normal....get snails and critters...1 per gallon

tank is only a month old, relax. it's normal to have brown diatom outbreaks for first month or so. i did and now i'm straight. i didn't have hair algae though. do u have a cleanup crew? if not get 1 from a reputable company but don't over do it. alot of places try to sell u a buch of stuff u don't need.

Check your PO4 level and use phosban if you get a detectable level.

Almost forgot, you'll need the phosban to address your immediate problem but also, If you don't have a refugium you might want to think about setting one up. All that algae will grow there instead of your tank, and no need for continued use of phosban because all the PO4 will be consumed by stuff growing in the refugium, also great source of bio diversity, etc, etc. Good Luck!

Yeah, I agree get some blue leg hermits and snails and they will help keep it clean...
