Hi,
I'm currently busy building a DIY Kalk reactor (modified Nilsen), and I'm planning on using an Eheim 1048 pump, mounted externally, to "stir" the water.
I would like to mount the pump in a vertical position, with the inlet on top and the outlet towards one side - or alternatively in a horizontal position with the outlet on the bottom.
The Eheim instruction manual shows that this pump must only be mounted in a horizontal position with the outlet on top. Does anyone know the reason for this?
What would happen if I mount the pump as previously described?
Any information will be appreciated.
Hennie
