Everyone be very, very quiet. So far, not one reported post on this thread due to the "p" word. I think it is because we are so incredibly mature that we don't have to make childish comments or off-color remarks.

I suspect the fossil was related to a barnacle. As you all know, of course, the barnacle is a crustacean although it appears to be a mollusk. As a crustacean it needs to copulate to reproduce, but since it's immobile the males reproductive organ is about 20X it's body length.

Gives new meaning to the song, "Barnacle Bill the Sailor" ;) .

Ok...now the total size of this critter was only 5 millimeters...so even if his, uhm, 3rd leg:) was big for that size, even if it was as big as he was...well, that's still only a 5 millimeter penis. Judging from the picture, I'd put him at about 1/2 a millimeter max.
