shrimp and clam

ok, i have a medium(2 inch) common cleaner shrimp, and i have a 3 inch derasa clam. i have heard that cleaner shrimp will take shots at clams. is my clam in trouble here??? and if he does attack, can i do something besides get rid of him or have a barbecue?

My cleaner shrimp and fire shrimp have always left my maxima alone.
